A concert by the Greek Military and "Stanislav Binicki" in Novi Sad
After the joint concert held yesterday at the Grand Hall of the Central Military Club in Belgrade, the Brass Orchestra of the Greek Army ant the art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binicki” held a concert tonight at the Town Square in Novi Sad in front of a numerous audience.In the course of the two-hour rich and varied musical program, a true treat for music enthusiasts, the Town Square of the “Serbian Athens” echoed with recognizable sounds of jazz, evergreen and ethno numbers, but also of famous Greek Syrtaki and renowned Serbian marches. The end of each musical number, especially those performed jointly by both bands and vocalists, was received with rounds of applause of astonished citizens of Novi Sad all the way to the encore.
The concerts held in Belgrade last night and in Novi Sad tonight, as well as the concert which will be held in Nis, have been organized on the occasion of marking the centenary of the Great War and they nurture the traditional friendship between the two nations.
