Intensification of military-educational cooperation with China



Delegation of military academies of Chinese People's Liberation Army led by Major General Qin Bokai, Head of the Faculty of Engineering, paid an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

The delegation of the Chinese armed forces was received by Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtic, Rector of the University of Defence, accompanied by Major General Prof. Mladen Vuruna, Commandant of the Military Academy, Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Colic, Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Military Academy, and other associates.

During the meeting, they discussed the modalities of current and future military-educational cooperation, presenting the possibilities and military-educational capacities of the University of Defence, Military Academy and Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy. They reached a high degree of agreement on all issues, especially emphasizing that the military-educational cooperation should be raised to a qualitatively and quantitatively higher level.

It was concluded that there is room for the development of this form of cooperation, and that in the forthcoming period both parties will do everything in order to intensify the exchange of candidates for education in areas of common interest.

During the discussion at the Military Academy, a meeting of the Chinese delegation with representatives of the Personnel Department of the Human Resources Sector was arranged, led by Deputy Head, Colonel Sasa Bojkovic, as well as with representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who have completed some form of advanced education in the People's Republic of China.
