Inspection of readiness of units for ceremony on the occasion of the Day of Serbian Armed Forces
After the parade of a part of the units and demonstration of the operational capabilities of the units of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Ljubisa Dikovic, Head of the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, assessing the level of training of the members as "very good", recalled the tumultuous history and the tradition of freedom of Uzice region.
- Members of the Serbian Armed Forces are in the final stage of preparations for the central ceremony marking the Day of the Armed Forces, which will be attended also by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and the state leaders. What is particularly pleasing is that we have reached the desired level and that we will show to our citizens our capabilities and that they can have full confidence in they armed forces as they had before, General Dikovic said expressing his gratitude to all who participated in the preparations, and especially to the citizens of Uzice who had patience, noting that this is just one piece of evidence that our citizens appreciate and respect their soldiers.
Today's meeting was attended by Zoran Djordjevic, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, as well as representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Traditionally, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will mark 23rd April – the Day of the Serbian Armed Forces this year as well with a number of activities.
