General Dikovi� received the award "Captain Misa Anastasijevi�"
In the Ceremonial Hall of the Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, General Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces received today the award that bears the name "Captain Misa Anastasijevic" one of the most famous Serbian entrepreneurs and philanthropists at the time of birth and earliness of the civic Serbia, for his personal contribution to peace and the results achieved in the field of security in the region.
In the explanation of the awards, among other things, it reads: "In the most difficult period for our country in the recent history, during the NATO aggression in 1999, he commanded the 37th Motorised Brigade, and it was under his command that it gained the Order of National Hero. His quality of an excellent commander, a skilled operative and organizer has been recognized by many. He worked for ten years in the military education, training and teaching generations of future officers of our Armed Forces, and his experience in training he transferred to a large number of officers, which made him an excellent Commander of the Training Command. What members of the Serbian Armed Forces recognize General Dikovic for is his work with people and care for people."
The decision on the admission was made by a jury, chaired by Prof. Dr. Radovan Pejanovic, Vice-Rector of the University of Novi Sad, and consisting of prominent economists, teachers and public workers, and the prestigious social award was presented to General Dikovic by the poet Pero Zubac, a member of the jury. The awards were presented also to Igor Mirovic, Minister of Economy in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, prominent businessmen, scientists, prominent artists, athletes, diplomats and the "Iron Gate Hydroelectric Power Plant" company.
"Captain Misa Anastasijevic" award, consisting of a statuette and charter, as the art work of academic sculptor Ljubisa Mancic from Belgrade, has been awarded since 2000 within the project "The Way to the Top", with the purpose of affirmation of the creative, entrepreneurial culture and social values, or the best of the best, as it was said at the awards ceremony.
