Visit to the Strategic Research Institute
Delegation of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia visited the Strategic Research Institute.Welcoming the guests, Jovanka Saranovic, Director of that scientific research institution of the Ministry of Defence, presented the Institute, which, as she pointed out, is a nursery of quality staff which now consists of eleven PhDs and seven Masters of Science.
- Our main purpose is to carry out fundamental and applied research in the areas of security, defence, military history and other military disciplines – Dr. Saranovic recalled during the presentation and briefed the guests about the history and organization of the Institute and what has been done in the previous period.
The Director of the Strategic Research Institute pointed out that the institution is the leader in the defence system when it comes to the gender balance of employees, and that special care was taken of the age and educational structure. She informed the guests about the plans of the institution, main tasks, the most important being the continuation of the process of accreditation of the Institute, and the novelties in the work, where she put emphasis on special military library.Thanking for the hospitality, Lieutenant General Retired Ljubisa Stojimirovic, President of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia, announced cooperation with the Institute during the International Conference on the First World War, in April this year.
