Defence ministers of Serbia and Azerbeijan meet

After the signing of a defense cooperation agreement, the two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the development of good and friendly relations which were confirmed during a meeting at the highest level , especially after the adoption of the Declaration on friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries , which was signed by presidents Tomislav Nikolic and Ilham Aliyev , in Baku on 8 February last year.

- During the visit, the colleagues from Azerbaijan will be given a presentation of the capacity of the University of Defence , Military Academy and School of Medicine , Military Medical Academy , and the possibility of the Serbian defense industry . Minister Rodic reminded the visitors that the military cooperation between the two countries is promoted by joint participation in exercises that contribute to the operational and functional capabilities of the Army of Serbia .

Minister of Defence in the technical thanked his colleague from Azerbaijan on a solid , principled support that his country provides to Serbia's struggle to preserve sovereignty and territorial integrity in Kosovo and Metohija.
The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov said the military cooperation between the two countries was very important, which, as he pointed out , said today's signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of defense .

Minister Hassan expressed his satisfaction with the very rich program of his visit to Serbia , which he described as " a beautiful , friendly country ."
Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan during the visit to Serbia, will be received by President Tomislav Nikolic and the first vice president of the technical government Aleksandar Vucic .
Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and State Secretary Zoran Djordjevic , today laid wreaths and flowers in Tašmajdan park on the monument to Heydar Aliyev , Milorad Pavic and the children killed during the NATO aggression in 1999.

Wreaths at the monument to children killed during the NATO aggression against Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999, when about 2,500 civilians and more than 80 children lost their lives , send a strong anti-war message and protest against the killing of innocent civilians and children in armed conflicts .
The Tašmajdan park in Belgrade was renewed with the donation of Azerbaijan and was opened on 8 June 2011. Part of the cultural mission of Azerbaijan is to provide funds for the restoration of parks in other states , such as the parks in Bucharest , Istanbul and some other European cities where monuments are erected to the first president after independence , who is the father of current president Ilham Aliyev . Memorials to Aliyev and Pavic are about three meters high and are located in the central park paths in the form of a bronze sculpture by the Azerbaijani sculptor Natig Aliyev
