Water for Uzice in the new pipeline system

In just 18 days , two days prior to the deadline , a new pipeline from the spring to the village Susica spring to the village of Stapari Uzice the new water supply system has been completed though the works are still in progress. All credits go to the engineers belonging to the Army of Serbia and the Uzice based company '' Jedinstvo '' which in joined efforts managed to clear this very inaccessible area around the river Sušica , dig the pipeline routes , lay 1.9 kilometers of pipes thus enabling the water to flow from the new source.

Minister Rodic expressed his acknowledgment to the contractors of these works which are crucial for solving the serious problem Uzice has faced with the drinking water , Minister with Chief of the General Staff of Serbian military General Ljubisa Dikovic and other associates visited the Susica springs.

- Today we are here to mark the accomplishment of this obligation, which started 6 January this year , when we received the order of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to help the citizens of Uzice and help resolve the issue of water supply . Serbian Army in this act fulfilled two obligations: to execute the order and while at the same time demonstrating its willingness and ability to lay the pipeline in this rugged terrain in just 18 days.

Here, according to the minister, 82 members of the Serbian Armed Forces , officers and non-commissioned officers and professional soldiers have been engaged, with the generous and professional commitment of people from Uzice company '' Jedinstvo'' .

- I can say that as of today we have put this system into operation. This means that with water is now flowing through these pipes. We are now at the stage of purifying the system which should soon lead to the possibility of using water in every home and family in Uzice. That will be possible when the whole system which is as I may recall you 300 km long is fully purified from what can represent a relapse of the accident. - said Rodic and stressed that the Serbian army had carried out the task , showed its commitment to the citizens.

- This has been an opportune situation which can gives us the right to be more aggressive in seeking help and demand that the government and the Assembly be more involved in equipping the SAF with new technologies and new equipment , because no one else could accomplish this task except for the members of SAF so quickly
unless the Army of Serbia and with the help of such business as a company is '' Unity '' , the minister said cousin.

The Defence Minister said since 6 January he had stayed and slept with these people there. With Major Prodanovic, who leads a military task force he had been in contact every day as early as 6 am , to hear how the works proceeded.

- The feeling I have is much more than pride. This is a feeling of pride mixed with greatness , when you see these young people who have worked night and day until 5 a.m. this morning in order to finish the task. We must learn that a promise is a promise, that a given word is an obligation we must live up to.
If we say 25 January then it is. Is it hard ? of course it is but the Army of Serbia will never breach or lead to suspicion the orders received, and shall always meet the deadlines.
