The delegation of the Republic of Serbia in CISM received by the minister of youth and sports
Minister of Sports and Youth Vanja Udovicic received the delegation of RS at CISM (Counseil Internacionale du Sports Militaire).On that occasion minister Udovicic was presented with the objective of the delegatons existence which is the participation of the Republic of Serbia in the development of world peace and promoting interarmy cooperation, trust and reconciliation in the region through sports.
The talks focused on promoting and development of representative and top sports in the SAF as well as implementation in special theme parts such as ‘development of sports in the military” into the framework of the National Strategy for Developing Sports in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2014-2018 and cooperation with the Sports Association of the Republic of Serbia.
There was also talk about the education of the members of SAF in the programs organized by the Ministry for Youth and Sports as well as using sports facilities that the Mod possesses, the significance of manning the sports platoon with top athletes, including possibilities for financing CISM activities and sports activities. Minister Udovicic stressed the importance of sustainable development of top sport as a system of values which has impact on the general physical preparedness of professional members of SAF and MoD.
The head of the delegation Col Dragan Djini announced that on the occasion of 10 year membership in CISM a celebration will be held on 17 December at the Military Academy.
