Liturgical space in the army 1st brigade sanctified



Santification of the liturgical space in the Headquarters of the First Army Brigade
Today the Minister of Defence Nebojsa Rodić has attended the sanctification of the liturgical space in the Headquarters of the First Army Brigade performed for the occasion of 9th November – the Day of the Brigade and the Day of Novi Sad.
Liturgical space in the Headquarters of the First Army Brigade is devoted to Saint Martyr Nestor, Christian soldier of exceptionally high moral character and soldier`s strength and the warrior for the free mind.
In his speech the Episcope Jegarski and military Porfirije has expressed a great joy of all people present at sanctification of this holy temple.
- I t is a great success for the people, state and army to have reinstated divine service in the Serbian Armed Forces after so many years, pointed out Episcope Porfirije.
A solemn liturgy was held by the Episcope Bački Irinej, with the assistance of the Episcope Jegarski and military Porfirije and the priesthood. The sanctification was attended by, besides numerous guests, Miloš Vučević, Mayor of Novi Sad and Brigadier General Stojan Batinić, Commander of the First Army Brigade.
At the end of liturgy, His Eminence Irinej has presented the Brigadier General Batinić with Archiereus Gramata.
