Members of Mod and SAF at Misic's days manifestation
In the traditional event "Misic’s days," the MoD and SAF delegation, led by Colonel Milan Jovovic, placed a laurel wreath at the Monument to Duke Zivojin Misic in front of the municipal building in Mionica, together with the symbolic flag-raising events and military honors.After laying a wreath and commemorative cultural program in Mionica, in front of the house of birth of the Duke Zivojin Misic in Struganik in Mionica, special acknowledgments were presented as part of tradition on the occasion of this event.
Among the award winners were Lt. Tiosav Jankovic, the best in the 56th class of General Staff Training in the National Defence College and Lt. Col. Dr. Bojan Pavkovic, former winner of the "Military paper" for the best PhD thesis in the MoD and SAF. They are the winners of gold medals "Zivojin Misic", which is awarded for achievements and accomplishments in the field of military service, science, doctrine, and creativity.The event "Misic’s days” 17th in a row is held each year and is dedicated to the famous military leader and strategist, Duke Zivojin Misic (1855-1921), and contains a rich and varied program, ranging from sports competitions, exhibitions, literary events and concerts.
