The visit of the representatives of the National Defence Academy of Nigeria
The official part of the visit of the Academy of National Defence FR Nigeria to our country started today at the barracks Topcider, by a reception and presentation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, which is hosted by Deputy Minister for Defence Miroslav Jovanovic.Welcoming guests, Deputy Minister expressed hope that all the objectives of the visit of the delegation of friendly countries will be realized. He pointed out that he held the University of Defence of the Republic of Nigeria in high esteem and that our country has a very similar institution National Defence College as part of the University of Defence.
- Our goal is to acquaint you with the potential of the Republic of Serbia in the educational system, military-technical and military-medical resources and skills, as well as with the capacity of our defense industry as Jovanovic stated.
In addition to the elements of the defense policy of the Republic of Serbia, presented by Deputy Minister, today's presentation, at the request of guests, included a discussion of reforms and strategic documents in the defense, as well as the experiences of the wars in the former Yugoslavia, of which Colonel Dragan Tatomir of the Strategic Planning and Milan Terzic, a historian of the Strategic Research Institute spoke.The plan of the visit envisions that the guests from the National Defense Academy of Nigeria tomorrow will be given a presentation of organizational units of the Army of Serbia, University of Defence, Military Academy and Military Medical Academy, and for the last day of the visit on Wednesday a visit to the Military Technical Institute, to state-owned arms company JUGOIMPORT SDPR as well as the Nikinci shooting ground.
