Conference "Project Management and Operations in SAF"
At the Military Academy a scientific conferences and round-table on "Project Management and Operations of the Army of Serbia" was held today. The meeting was opened by Chief of the Military Academy, Brigadier General Mladen Vuruna, where he pointed out the desire to turn this into an international conference.
Research Centre for Defence Science and Management, which was formed at the Military Academy and brings together researchers in the field of defense science, is implementing a project entitled "Streamlining decision-making in military management using standard operating procedures." Today's meeting has stemmed from this project primarily with the intention to clarify certain issues within the operations of the Army of Serbia and to explain direct relationship with the project management as a basis of the SAF’s success in realizing the operations of any kind, as general Vuruna said.He emphasized the importance of the event, not only for the promotion of fundamental analysis, but also for the development of applied science and that the meeting will contribute to the wealth of scientific achievements, but also raise the repute of science and research, particularly in the area of project management and defense activity, or operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
This topic discussion is a continuation of a practice of organizing scientific meetings in the military higher education institution. The organizer of the meeting is the Center for Research in Science and Management of Defense, one of three research centers at the Academy, and participating experts in the fields of project management and operations of the Army.
The event featured presentations of 14 papers, published in the journal, authored by experts of the Ministry of Defense, the Army of Serbia, educational and research institutions.Discussions and authorship from the roundtable will enable easier application of scientific knowledge in the field of planning and operations management.
