Minister Vucic meets Ambassador of Indonesia Samson



First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met today with Ambassador of Indonesia in Belgrade Samuel Samson. In cordial and friendly talks the high level of bilateral relations was positively evaluated and it was noted that there are no open issues between the two countries. Both sides expressed satisfaction that the Agreement on Defence Cooperation, which was signed in 2011, was successfully implemented, which contributes to the improvement of military cooperation.

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic pointed out that Serbia is interested in raising relations to yet higher level and noted that there is room for improving cooperation in the field of defence, economy, and in other spheres. Vucic thanked Ambassador Samson for the support for Serbia to get a contract with Indonesia worth 100 million euros for the export of amunition.

Vucic invited the Defence Minister of Indonesia to visit Serbia and promised that the envoy of the Serbian Ministry of Defence will be sent to Jakarta by the end of this year.

Ambassador Samson introduced the new defence attache of Inonesia in the Republic of Serbia. Stressing the interest of Indonesia to promote cooperation in all fields, confirmed his country's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
