Minister Vucic-Germany is our strategic partner
First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic met in Berlin with the Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economics and Technology Philip Rösler.Minister Vucic at the beginning of the meeting stressed the importance of further strengthening the political dialogue between Serbia and Germany at the highest level, expressing interest in intensifying parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
He stressed the importance of improving economic relations in the fields of energy, infrastructure and automotive.
Minister Vucic pointed out to German colleagues the importance of support provided by Germany Serbia towards the European Union.
"Serbia is fully committed to promoting economic cooperation and dedicated to the implementation of reforms, strengthening the rule of law and the fight against crime and systematic coruption," said Minister Vucic.
Rosler stressed that Germany and its companies were very much interested in the promotion of cooperation, adding he expected Serbia to strengthen the legal framework for business and macroeconomic stability.After the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the energy field was signed. The agreement was signed by representatives of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia and Germany's RWE (Rheinisch - Westfälisches Elektrizitätswerk) in the presence of German and Serbian Deputy Prime Ministers.
Minister Vucic will be received on behalf with the highest state honors on behalf of the Minister of Defense of Germany, by Parliamentary State Secretary Christian Schmidt.
