Minister Vucic talked with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands
First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met today with the Ambassador of the Netherlands Loren Luis Stokvis.Minister Vucic said that one of the goals of the new government would be to speed up the process of European integration and the promotion of regional cooperation. He thanked the Kingdom of Netherlands for its support to our defense reform.
Vucic said that the cooperation in defense would in the future mostly focus on the development of NCO corps, enforcement of humanitarian law in armed conflict and civil-military cooperation in the field of gender equality.
The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will continue to enhance cooperation within the Partnership for Peace Programme.During the meeting minister Vucic and Ambassador Stokvis exchanged views on the necessity of joint fight against organized crime, systematic corruption, and efficient coordination of the work of the security services.
Ambassador Stokvis expressed his country’s readiness to promote economic cooperation between the two countries and the need to create conditions for greater inflow of foreign investment, within adequately defined legal framework and procedures as well as continuing cooperation in the field of defence.
