Communique



This morning around 10:25 am on Kopaonik summit Pancic there an accident occurred during the clearing of terrain of mines and on that occasion two non-commissioned officers, members of the SAF air force were killed.

Members of the Serbian Army were engaged in clearing the terrain of mines jointly with the Montenegro Air Force Command Control Flying (SMATSA) for the construction of protective fencing around the facility on Kopaonik.

Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic has ordered that prompt investigation be undertaken which would shed light on the circumstances of emergency and accountability.

Defence Minister stopped all its activities and was flown by a SAF helicopter immediately to the scene along with Chief of General Staff of Serbia.
