Chief of General Staff receives officers who have completed General Staff Advancement School
Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Ljubisa Dikovic received the officers who, after the completion of General Staff Advancement at the National Defence School and education at the same level abroad, have been assigned to duties in the Serbian Armed Forces. The reception was attended by members of the Collegium of the Chief of General Staff.
General Dikovic congratulated the officers who have completed the highest military schools and expressed his satisfaction that our system obtained another class of officers educated for the most responsible military duties.
- I really expect that 32 officers at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel contribute to the system, and the result to be visible within a year, General Dikovi? said adding that most of the officers have been appointed to duties higher than those they performed before going to school, which proves that the personnel is well cared of.
The Chief of General Staff told the officers to apply their knowledge and experience at the new jobs and thus to prove that they deserve the positions they are posted on.
In this year's class, 36 Serbian Armed Forces officers and three officers from the armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina completed the General Staff Advancement Studies. It is the highest level of education in our defence system, after which the officers are qualified for planning and leading forces in modern operations in the country and abroad.
As for the education abroad in the General Staff rank, four Lieutenant Colonels of the Serbian Armed Forces completed it this year. They have acquired knowledge and experience in Italy, France, Russia and the United States.
