Regatta "Zoran Radosavljevic" held



Fourteenth Memorial Regatta "Zoran Radosavljevic" ended today after two days of competition on the River Danube and the Sava Lake in Belgrade, where winners in all three classes were proclaimed.

In the class "cruiser", the first to reach the finishing line was AJK "Beograd" with caotain Edvard Filipovic. In the class of M-550'' micro'' the crew JK "Breeze" with Goran Stevanovic as captain was the most successful, a boat in the class'' optimist'' involving the youngest athletes, children under 15 years, has claimed victory Aleksandar Jovanovic of AJK "Beograd".

Regatta, dedicated to the sailor and fighter air craft pilot of the elite 127th Squadron of the Air Force Army of Yugoslavia, which was defending the airspace of the country, and who died on 26th March 1999, was organized by the association of'' Regatta Zoran Radosavljevic" with the support of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia. Snjezana Radosavljevic, the sister of the late pilot and race organizers stressed that the competition would have been almost impossible without the support of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia who have their funds and manpower to help the race runs smoothly.
