Protocol on education signed at the Military Academy
Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, who is at the same time the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac signed The Protocol on education and training of cadets and students at the University of Defence - Military Academy. Prime Minister Cvetkovic expressed his satisfaction that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry Defence signed a Protocol on Cooperation in the field of education at the Military Academy.
- The public finance is a very important field, not only for the government but for the whole country. Therefore, it is very important that the staff being educated is familiar with the methods of financial management and the underlying problems therein. This is an opportunity for the students of the Military Academy to get experience first-hand, to become involved and educated through a number of practical lessons and thematic lectures, said Cvetkovic.
Minister Sutanovac emphasized that the Ministry of Defence had recognized education as one of the major segments of the development of defence system and the entire country.
It is well-known that in the years behind us we established the University of Defence and Military Medical University. We also reformed other segments according the need for education in the field of security and defence, and today we have had the opportunity to sign The Protocol on Cooperation concerning education in the field of public functions, said Defence Minister. He added that the needs of the defence system are primarily the training of cadets and civilian employees interested in getting the opportunity of employment in the public sector services.
The cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Finance is based on recognizing the needs of education and training of staff for the need of the public finances, common interests in the field of education and training of personnel for financial services in the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces and other budget users, which is implemented in the framework of the accredited study programs of the Military Academy at the University of Defence, in accordance with the law.
