"The last decade" by Sava Sumanovic



In the Gallery of the Central Military Club, tomorrow at 19:00, an exhibition of Sava Sumanovic "The last decade". At the opening of the exhibition, Minister Sutanovac Undersecretary for Culture and Public Information Milorad Djuric.

The exhibition is part of the Media Center Odbrana’s participation in this year's "Night of Museums", thus marking 60 years of the work of "Sava Sumanovic" gallery in Sid and 70 anniversary of the death of a great artist. The authors of the exhibition are Ljubica Jukic and Vesna Burojevic, curators of "Sava Sumanovic" gallery.

"The last decade" includes a selection of 45 works from Sumanovic’s creativity in Sid (from 1931to 1942) after years of staying and working in Paris. Most works painted in 1939 year for an exhibition in Belgrade, which was a big success, where the main topic of Sumanovic’s works is landscape and nudes.

Following program shows paintings of Sava Sumanovic in the exhibition "Sava Sumanovic - personal, familial, national," which includes a selection of photographs and documentary materials about the artist and his family. The author of the exhibition is Radovan Sremac, director of the Gallery "Sava Sumanovic".

Exhibition "The last decade" will be open until 23 June 2012. Opening hours of the gallery of the Central Military Club are from 11 to 19 every day except n holidays and Sundays.
