Staff exercise "Milesian crisis"



In the School of National Defense in the "Banjica 2" today the implementation of Interdepartmental Staff exercise "Milesian crisis" for the listeners of the 55th a GS training. This is an educational exercise aimed at further development of understanding of international peacekeeping operations.

The staff exercise "Milesian crisis" is a five-day long exercise and will be conducted under the auspices of the United Kingdom and Norway. DAs of these countries, Colonels William English and Esben Aass addressed the audience on the first day of the exercise.

The exercise is run by Colonel Velimir Kevac and his assistants Lieutenant Colonel Martin Langvik and dr. Andrew Stewart.

It is an exercise at operational level planning with the aim of execution of the exercise to strengthen the understanding of multinational operations in crisis response. The exercise is set in 2013, it combines real-world background with imaginary events. The exercise involves the deployment of a fictional European Union mission to fictional countries located on the African continent.
