Safest drivers in MoD and SAF

At the session of the Road Safety Military Council, held at the Department of Material Resources of the Ministry of Defence, the safest drivers in the Defense Ministry and the Serbian Army in 2011 were proclaimed.

The session, led by Chief of the General Logistics Department of Material Resources Sector, Brigadier General doc. Dr. Srdjan Novakovic, was attended by representatives of the administration and command of the MoD and SAF, as well as members of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Agency for the Safety of Transport of the Republic of Serbia.

This flattering acknowledgment for the safest drivers in the last year, according to the evaluation committee, went to the Sergeant First Class Zoran Radovic from the Military Police Battalion-Special Task Force Kobre, Corporal Goran Stakic from the Military Hospital in Nis and civilian Vitomir Acimovic from Logistics Battalion Guard. Brigadier General Srdjan Novakovic prizes presented the prizes and acknowledgments to the awarded.

The aim of the campaign, organized for the eighth time, is to increase the level of military security of road users, and encourage all drivers in future work.

At the session, the overall military security situation of road users and the security situation in the Republic of Serbia was analyzed. It is concluded that, despite the complex conditions of transport, in the last year there was only a small number of accidents where military vehicles were involved, but the consequences were, unfortunately, far graver.

In the past year much has been done to increase the level of military security of the participants. One of the most important activities in Serbia's becoming the member of the European Commission for Traffic Safety in the military and the realization of 5th conference "Military Security of Traffic Participants”.
