Activities on occasion of the Day of the MMA
On the occasion of the Academy of Military Medical Center melanoma VMA organized free preventive skin examinations for early detection of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer in the Central Military Club.
Early detection of skin cancer is important for better prognosis for patients, according to doctors who performed checks in the Central Military Club response of citizens has exceeded the expectations. During yesterday more than three hundred people were examined so the action will probably be repeated in the future.Melanoma is a malignant tumor of skin cells, and preventive care is the best way to prevent melanoma. In addition to avoiding unnecessary exposure to sunlight, MMA doctors advise wearing protective clothing, hats and sunglasses with UV protection, applying sunscreen regularly, examining their skin, seeing a dermatologist, and avoidance of solariums.
On the occasion of the MMA in the Sports Center and the Military High School Sports Centre in Stara Pazova FSS traditional sports tournament for men was organized. First place went to the logistics team from the MMA.
The delegation of the MMA, on the occasion of 2nd March, laid memorial wreaths at the memorial stone in front of the entrance of diagnostic - outpatient center.
