Promotion of the new generation of reserve officers



At the Military Academy today graduation ceremony for «September 2011» class of Reserve Officers was organized today. On that occasion 59 young men and women who have had been in training at the Military Academy and Military Academy, as member the infantry, medical and telecommunications services, medical and veterinary services were promoted into the rank of second lieutenant.


The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Military Academy Major General Mladen Vuruna, Chief of Staff of the Training Command Brigadier General Mladen Nisevic, head of the School of National Defense Colonel Mile Jelic, members of their families, relatives and friends of promoted reserve officers.

Welcoming the present on behalf of the School of National Defense, the Military Academy Col. Jelic said that the school for reserve officers had always been a challenge but also a matter of prestige for young people.

- Today, Serbia has received another generation of well-qualified reserve officers ready for great efforts and trials, but also to gain new experience - Colonel Jelic said, adding that the training in their particular role had an internship in the units where they were able to directly observe how defense system works.

Congratulating the youngest reserve officers of our army to advance, he said that should be devoted to country, and families, and to respect the values of peace.

- You will be remembered in the Military Academy and the MMA as a generation of mature and I ask you to continue to be such in life, said the head of the School of National Defense, adding that the institution has been even more richer and more able to go for another experience.

The first in the rank lieutenant Miroslav Sofronic, thanked the teachers and elders for conveying their knowledge unselfishly, as well as thanking the parents and friends for their support during the past six months.

- We are prepared to be on top of the game, regardless of difficulties and problems that we may encounter, and while performing duties, we will not forget the military honor, because honor is what wehave, he is the best reserve lieutenant noting that the period spent in uniform spawned many friendships.

Today's ceremony was an opportunity to praise and award the best in a generation who have successfully completed the training for reserve officers.
