Signing the Bilateral MIlitary Cooperation Plan with Denmark for 2012



The working group of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, headed by the Head of the Bilateral Relations in the Directorate for International Military Cooperation Colonel Milan Konjikovac paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Denmark on 7 to 9 February, for bilateral consultations and signing of bilateral military cooperation plan for 2012.

The Kingdom of Denmark is one of the largest donor countries and has been actively involved in the process of defense reform. It has previously made a great contribution in the establishment and development of search and rescue teams, flight safety, through projects retraining of redundant military personnel (PRISMA), teaching English (PELT), education and training of MoD and SAF at the Baltic Defence College and the development of IT network.

During an interview in Defense Command K. Denmark was mutually concluded that the bilateral military cooperation at a high level. It was agreed to continue cooperation in projects initiated and signed by the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2012. The Danish side once again confirmed their commitment to continuing financial support and assistance to the reform of defense of Serbia until 2014, and providing support to OSCE and UNDP projects with respect to adequate storage and destruction of surplus ammunition. During the talks the possibility of improving the right framework for intensifying cooperation and the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of defense was also discussed.
