Conmfirmation of friendly relations between Serbia and China
Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, led by the Serbian Army Chief of General General Miloje Miletic today ends the official visit to the People's Republic of China.
During the visit, which began on Thursday, 5 May, General Miletic was discussed with senior representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the National Liberation Army of China.During his meeting with the Chief of the Staff of the People's Liberation Army of China, General Chen Bingdeo, General Miletic stressed the importance of developing good relations between the two countries and two armies, expressing hope that the Serbian Army and the People's Liberation Army of China would continue to enhance cooperation in various fields, in the spirit of proven mutual understanding and support.
General Bingde reminded that since establishing the strategic partnership between China and Serbia in 2009, the two countries had made several visits at the highest levels, deepening mutual trust, had improved cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, culture, science and technology, as well as strengthening the coordination and cooperation within international organizations. Chinese Chief of General Staff general Bingde noted that the exchange of experiences and cooperation between the two armies had been fruitful in various fields, reminding that the China looked forward to further improving military cooperation with Serbia.
General Miletic also met with Vice President of the Central Military Commission of China, General Sioux Caihou. On that occasion, General Miletic said that the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Army had had traditionally friendly relations with the People's Republic of China and its army.
General Miletic was also received by Chinese Defense Minister General Liang Gunagli. The two generals exchanged views on improving cooperation between the two armies.
Serbian Army Chief thanked his hosts and his counterpart for the support that the National Liberation Army of China had provided to the Serbian Army, specifically for the donation of computer equipment.
Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia visited on 24th aviation division of the Air Force of PRC Army, Army Command College, and several companies of Chinese defense industry.
The cooperation in the field of defense with the Peoples Republic of China has had along tradition and since it has been on a constant rise, especially when it comes to cooperation in military education and military health care. The cooperation agreement was signed during 2008 when Minister Sutanovac visited China.
