Opening of the exhibition of Momo Kapor's paintings
In the Central Military Club an exhibition of paintings by Momo Kapor
"Belgrade Stories" was opened on Friday in Belgrade. It is the biggest exhibition of the famous Belgrade artist and writer in our country.

According to the director of the Media Center ”Odbrana," Lt. Col. Slavoljub Markovic, this center along with the “Momcilo Momo Kapor" foundation organized the exhibition, as Momo Kapor was a great friend of the military.
- The magazine "Army" during the 1999 bombardment, used to published his column "Shelter 011", and these stories were later made into a book that will be presented during the exhibition - said Lt. Col. Markovic.
Momo Kapor's wife, Ljiljana, director of the Foundation, said that "Momo” would certainly be pleased to see so many people gathered at the opening of his exhibition. She stressed that the Foundation has since its establishment participated in numerous actions that have contributed to the capital, the main topic of Momo’s writings and paintings , is more comfortable place to live.
Art historian Nikola Kusovac, who chose a picture of the "Belgrade Stories", pointed out that Moma was the first artist, and that in his works he would sink his teeth into an idea, which was then displayed in his works for a long time. "

- My name is Momo, and throughout life I was regular in only two things- drawing and smoking – as Rada Cjuricin, our renowned actress read an excerpt from Momo’s book “Memories of a draftsman” ?uri?in thus recalling the moments they shared.
First major solo exhibition of paintings and drawings by Kapor was organized in Belgrade in 1992, some thirty years after Momo Kapor had graduated in the class of Nedeljko Gvozdenovic, at the Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts.
Exhibited paintings, mostly in oil on canvas, belong to numerous private collections, so that the majority will for the first time be presented to the public.
Detail from the painting "Angel of the mechanical wing" is a trademark of this exhibition on his angel, and Momo Kapor in his monograph “Momo, par lui meme” wrote:

New opening hours of the Gallery of the Army House from 11.00 am to 19.00 pm.The opening of the exhibition was attended by art lovers, and fans of Momo’s work including Matija Beckovic, Milos Sobajic, director Aleksandar Mandic, Rajko Petrov Nogo, the writer, composer Zoran Hristic, actor Nebojsa Kundacina , journalist Peter Popovic, singer Merima Njegomir, and the ambassador of Serbia to Slovakia Radmila Hrustanovic.
The exhibition will be open until 15 June and the new opening hours of the Gallery of the Central Military Club are from 11.00 am to 19.00 pm.
