An international course on the detection and identification of toxic chemicals has been conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac for service members from ten countries.
The course was delivered by certified instructors of the CBRN Training Centre. During the five-day training, officers and non-commissioned officers from Angola, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Greece, Italy, China, Hungary, Slovenia and Spain broadened their knowledge of the physical and chemical characteristics of toxic chemicals and were trained to use contamination detection equipment and administer first aid for poisoning. The focus was on standard procedures for analysing the toxicity of water, heavy metal salts and chemically contaminated samples, using the toxic chemical detection and identification laboratory.
The success of the training course delivered by the CBRN Training Centre and the significant international interest it attracts is another confirmation of the expertise of the instructor team and the quality of CBRN defence training conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces, alongside its contribution to strengthening the military-to-military cooperation with partner nations.
