Flag Guard Unit

The Flag Guard Unit carries the national flag of the Republic of Serbia.
The Flag Guard Unit is composed of soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers selected according to the strictest criteria of discipline, conduct and service merit. Carrying and securing the flag is not only a duty, but an honour bestowed upon the best of the best.
The presence of the Flag Guard Unit at a military parade is not just a solemn moment – it is a strong message of unity, pride and loyalty to the homeland.
The Flag Guard Unit is composed of the members of the 3rd Army Brigade and BRDM 2MS Armour Reconnaissance Battalion.
The Flag Guard Unit is led by Captain 1st Class Nebojša Antić.
The flag of the Republic of Serbia is carried by Second Lieutenant Bogdan Maletin.
The members of the Flag Guard Unit are armed with AM 6.5/7.62 mm M-20 modular automatic rifles, while the officer commanding and sergeant major are armed with 9 mm EZ 9 semi-automatic pistols.
