1st Army Brigade Sub-Echelon

The First Army Brigade (1st Army Bde) is intended to carry out missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces through the development and improvement of operational capabilities and achieving the necessary availability of forces for conducting operations and providing assistance to civil authorities in the event of natural disasters, technical-technological and other accidents.
The First Army Brigade consists of a command and 11 battalion/division-level units - infantry, armoured, mechanized, artillery and air defence artillery-missile units, engineering and logistics units.
The command of the 1st Army Brigade is located in Novi Sad, and the unit's day is celebrated on November 9, in memory of the day the Serbian Army entered Novi Sad and liberated Novi Sad in World War I.
The brigade is commanded by Major Nedeljko Šatara.
The brigade flag is carried by Captain Nemanja Virijević.
Members of the 1st Army Brigade sub-echelon are equipped with T-19P ballistic protective equipment sets and armed with modular PM 6.5/7.62 mm M-19 rifles and domestically produced 9 mm EZ 9 pistols.
