2nd Army Brigade Sub-Echelon




The Second Army Brigade (2nd Army Bde) is intended to carry out the missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces through the development and improvement of operational capabilities and achieving the necessary availability of forces for conducting operations in the assigned zone, building the capabilities of units to participate in multinational operations and providing assistance to civil authorities in the event of natural disasters, technical-technological and other accidents.

The Second Army Brigade consists of the Command and 11 battalion/division-level units - infantry, armoured-mechanized, artillery and air defence artillery-missile units, engineering, logistics and telecommunications units.

The command of the 2nd Army Brigade is located in Kraljevo, and the unit's day is celebrated on July 12, when in 1805 Đorđe Petrović Karađorđe won a victory over the Turks and liberated the then Karanovac. On that day, the 2nd Army Brigade's baptismal feast - Saints Peter and Paul, also known as Petrovdan, is also celebrated.

The sub-echelon is commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Pavlović.

The brigade flag is carried by Second Lieutenant Aleksa Pavlica.

The members of the 2nd Army Brigade sub-echelon are equipped with T-19P ballistic protective equipment sets and are armed with modular PM 6.5/7.62 mm M-19 rifles and 9 mm EZ 9 pistols of domestic production.
