4th Army Brigade Sub-Echelon
The Fourth Army Brigade (4th Army Bde) is intended to carry out the missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces through the development and improvement of operational capabilities and achieving the necessary availability of forces for conducting operations, participation in multinational operations and providing assistance to civil authorities in the event of natural disasters, technical-technological and other accidents.
The Fourth Army Brigade consists of a command and 11 battalion/division-level units - infantry, armoured-mechanized, artillery and artillery-missile units for fire support, engineering, logistics and telecommunications units.
The headquarters of the 4th Army Brigade is located in Vranje, and January 31 is celebrated as the day of the unit in memory of the liberation of the city of Vranje from the Turks in the Second Serbian-Turkish War in 1878.
The brigade is commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Bojan Stojmenović.
The brigade flag is carried by Captain First Class Goran Stojanović.
Members of the 4th Army Brigade sub-echelon are equipped with T-19P ballistic protective equipment sets and are armed with modular PM 6.5/7.62 mm M-19 rifles and 9 mm EZ 9 pistols of domestic production.
