Riverine Flotilla Sub-Echelon



The Riverine Flotilla of the Army (RF) is intended for conducting combat operations and non-combat activities, movements and other actions on and within the reach of rivers, navigable canals and lakes, independently and in cooperation with other defence forces of the Republic of Serbia.

The Riverine Flotilla consists of a command, two detachments and two pontoon battalions.

The Riverine Flotilla Command is located in Novi Sad, and as the Day of the Unit, and also the Day of the Origin of Riverine Units, August 19 is celebrated in memory of the day when, on the Transfiguration of the Lord Day of 1915, the first Serbian warship built in a domestic shipyard, the motor armoured boat "Jadar", was launched into the Sava River near Čukarica.

The sub-echelon is commanded by Major Marko Radojčić.

The unit's flag is carried by Captain First Class Marko Đurović.

Members of the RF sub-echelon are armed with modular PM 6.5/7.62 mm M-19 rifles and domestically produced 9 mm EZ 9 pistols.
