Presidents Vučić and Aliyev attend weapons and capabilities display of some of SAF units in Niš



The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, accompanied by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, attended the display of weapons, military equipment and capabilities of some of the Serbian Armed Forces units at the military airfield “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” in Niš today. Presidents Vučić and Aliyev were greeted at the Niš military airfield by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.


Today’s display was also attended by the Azerbaijani delegation comprising Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev, Assistant to the President on Socio-Economic Issues Khalid Ahadov, and Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Serbia Kamil Khasiyev.
 
Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources presented the displayed weapons and military equipment, putting the emphasis on the domestic defence industry products. 

Today’s display at the Niš military airfield showcased the performance of different PASARS-16 air defence system variants, PASARS with four portable anti-aircraft missile systems - 40mm  Bofors L/70  anti-aircraft gun, Mistral 3+, Strela-2М and  Malyutka 2ТP, a radar and  anti-drone jammer, as well as the zero series of PASARS–16 system.
 
When it comes to weapons, the display presented the RLN-RF and RLN-TK surface-to-air missiles and new air-to-surface missiles, ALAS missiles, as well as the GAVRAN (Raven) loitering munition.


The display of unmanned aerial vehicles, such as PEGAZ and SENKA, accompanied by their respective ground control stations, the RVML-02 system, VRABAC, OSICA killer drone, OBAD armed drone, and the armed mini QUADCOPTER drew special attention.

The following variants of Mali Miloš ground unmanned platform were also displayed: V1 and V2, logistic, and ultra-light, as well as a mortar fire control system.
During the dynamic capabilities display, members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade and 72nd Special Operations Brigade demonstrated the landing of special unit teams using rapid descent and climbing ropes, Miloš unmanned platform landing, urban warfare, the method of supplying and extracting the wounded using the Miloš-L unmanned platform and navigating an unmanned platform on a difficult terrain.

MEDIVAC and extraction of a team of Special Forces using the “cluster” technique, classic and special landings and a segment of training conducted at the paratrooper training centre were also demonstrated.


The crews of the H-145, Mi-35M, Mi-17 and Mi-8 helicopters, as well as the crews of the Miloš 4x4, Hummer and the MTV modular all-terrain vehicle also took part in the dynamic display.
