Visit from Chief of the Defence of Bulgarian Armed Forces
At the invitation of Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the Defence of Bulgarian Armed Forces Admiral Emil Eftimov accompanied by his delegation is paying an official visit to our country.
Today, Admiral Eftimov visited the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces where he conversed with General Mojsilović about the current security situation in the region and world, and previous defence cooperation, and possibilities for its further promotion.
During the talks, both sides expressed their satisfaction with the achieved level of military-to-military cooperation chiefly in the domain of training of air force and air defence forces of the two countries. In that respect, the interlocutors established that the execution of live firing against air targets in the airspace of “Shabla” training area represented the best example of the activities of the military-to-military cooperation which enhanced the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and Bulgarian Armed Forces.
Later during the day, Admiral Eftimov is to visit the Military Academy and the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade where will be informed about the capacities and purview of work of these institutions.
Such high-level meetings give impetus to further development of defence cooperation and strengthening of the overall interstate and good-neighbourly relations.
