Call for the Young to Do Voluntary Military Service
The Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces have opened a call for candidates to apply for voluntary military service under arms in 2024.
We call upon all interested young men and women, who will, in 2024, turn between 19 and 30 years of age, and who have not previously done the military service under arms, to apply for the voluntary military service and for military specialist training for reserve officers.
In addition, we take the opportunity to remind that the deadline for all the interested to apply for December intake is approaching. The candidates will have an opportunity to undergo a dynamic military training, and show their patriotism. At the same time, the voluntary military service is the shortest way to gain the title of a professional member of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The public call for candidates to apply for the voluntary military service under arms, and candidates for military specialist training for reserve officers is permanently open. Candidates are sent to do their voluntary military service four times a year, in March, June, September and December, and the candidates for military specialist training have two intake periods per year, in March and September.
The future soldiers will also receive a monthly salary in the amount of 46,000 dinars. All those who during their voluntary military service decide to apply for the status of a professional soldier will undergo shortened and simplified procedures of selection and admission.
The candidates for the voluntary military service can apply in centres of the Ministry of Defence - former military recruitment offices, via e-government portal, with an eligible electronic certificate, and at all subsidiaries of the Public Company “Post of Serbia” all over the country.
