Conference of National Armaments Directors



Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, PhD, has participated in the annual Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) plenary session at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

The meeting discussed the weapons and military equipment supply chain security and resiliency of NATO member states and partners, as well as the current geopolitical circumstances. A special topic of discussion was the relationship between the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) and CNAD and the focus was on reviewing the results achieved so far at the strategic level in the areas of innovation and contribution to the further development of DIANA.
 
On the sidelines of the conference, Assistant Minister Miloradović held brief bilateral meetings with national armaments directors from Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Spain, France, as well as with the Italian deputy national armaments director, to discuss the trends in the development of defence technologies, potential joint projects for the development, production and procurement of materiel, as well as the advancement of cooperation in the field of defence industry.
 
The Conference of National Armaments Directors deals with research, development and production of materiel and is open to partner countries, in accordance with their national needs and capabilities, and this year's conference has brought together representatives of 42 countries.
