Active Phase of Exercise Joint Response 2023



Serbian Armed Forces units, which have started the active phase of the live firing joint tactical exercise of Republic of Serbia defence forces Joint Response 2023, are currently practising the execution of combat actions and operations on permanent and temporary training areas.
A part of the Army units and 63rd Parachute Brigade are carrying out tactical exercise on the training area Pešter. In addition, the firing is executed from armoured fighting vehicles Lazar 3 and BRDM-2, 122mm self-propelled howitzers, 88mm and 120mm mortars and a broad range of small arms.

The training area Pasuljanse livade is where firing is being exercised in day and night conditions, and where tactical exercises of infantry, armoured, artillery and air defence artillery-missile units are conducted, along with tactical exercises of engineer, logistics and signal units responsible for provisions and support to combat operations.
In the framework of complex activities of practising the preparation and execution of anti-terrorist operation by day and night, members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Ministry of the Interior are practising special actions during a march with anticipated combat.
A part of the forces participating in the exercise is conducting the activities on the move, while, in keeping with the exercise scenario and planned dynamics, the remaining units will commence the active phase in the following days, and start more complex forms of training.
