Combat training with Kub missile systems

Kub missile system combat crews are currently undergoing intensive training in the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade self-propelled battalions’ peacetime locations.
This unit conducts training throughout the year, making sure that its professional members are highly trained to defend the Serbian territory and SAF troops from aerial attacks.

At this time, they are practicing standardized tactical procedures for gun emplacement, switching the missile systems into the combat-ready mode, as well as procedures in immediate preparation for and execution of fire against aerial targets, within prescribed timeframes, since the speed of response of combat crews is instrumental in performing the tasks successfully.

To make sure that training conditions are as realistic as possible, aviation and ASEWG units are also involved in the training process.
The Kub air defence missile system is intended for the destruction of aerial targets at small and medium altitudes. It is highly mobile and features centralized command and fire control at the battalion level. The modernization of this system is currently in progress aiming to improve its efficiency and combat ability, and, consequently, the ability of the Serbian Armed Forces to ensure control and protection of the airspace.
