Basic NCO Course participants undergo training

Candidates attending the 21st Basic NCO Course, which began in early March, are undergoing training at the Pančevo-based NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić".
This six-month course which prepares the trainees for initial NCO roles in SAF units is attended by professional soldiers who have successfully completed the Leadership Course and shown, through hard work and notable results achieved in the unit, that they are ready for this level of professional development.

As part of the first – general module, which is currently underway, the trainees are being taught to command a squad-sized unit, carry out general tactical actions and fire missions in combat, and to conduct basic individual and general military training using the right training methodology.
Once they complete the first module, future NCOs will embark on specialized training for initial NCO roles within their branches or services, followed by a three-week internship in SAF units. Those who successfully complete all the modules will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned to appropriate NCO duties in SAF units.
