Meeting between ministers Vučević and Petrovska



Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević met with Minister of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia Slavjanka Petrovska, as part of his visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
  During the conversation, Minister Vučević said he was pleased with the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia and analyse with her the existing defence cooperation between the two countries and consider possibilities for its further strengthening.
Minister Vučević said he was committed to developing friendly relations with the Republic of North Macedonia and other countries in the region, in accordance with mutual interests, both at the regional and global levels. According to him, the states in the region are interdependent, and common interests encourage the states to cooperate with each other in order to achieve common goals and find effective solutions to the problems that the entire region is faced with.

Minister Vučević also expressed readiness to improve bilateral military cooperation with the Republic of North Macedonia, saying that there was enthusiasm and potential for improving it further in the coming period. He said it was necessary to maintain the continuity of high-level dialogue between the two countries’ officials, in order to determine further directions in which defence cooperation would develop and improve, which would help improve overall bilateral relations between the two countries.
  Minister Petrovska welcomed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, saying that she was pleased with the opportunity to meet with him. She agreed with Minister Vučević that there was potential, as well as determination to improve bilateral military relations in the coming period. Minister Petrovska expressed her expectation that after this visit, there would be progress in bilateral military cooperation, resulting in new activities in the field of defence.
