Basic Training for Soldiers Doing Voluntary Military Service

Serbian Armed Forces training centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac are currently conducting basic training for the soldiers who have started their voluntary military service in early December.

This is the first phase of their training, which will last for a month and a half, and it is identical for the soldiers of all specialities. During that time, the soldiers will be trained to use their personal weapons, and to adequately perform tactical actions in assault and defence, as well as to perform the duties of the bodies of internal services.

In this phase, the young soldiers will go through elements of tactical training and drill, and learn about weapons and shoot from them, and they will also familiarise themselves with the Service rules of the Serbian Armed Forces and undergo physical training. The focus is placed on practical training in performing individual tactical actions and procedures in theatre, and the execution of planned shooting from infantry armament.
The following segment of their military service will bring the test of their competence to execute the individual tasks, and then they will be transferred to centres for specialised training, where they will undergo training in their assigned military specialities.

The soldiers of “December 2022” intake are extremely motivated to fully master the content of the training, which is supported by the results achieved so far in the execution of all their tasks. Many of them will become professional soldiers of the Serbian Armed Forces, for which they can apply even while doing their voluntary military service.
