Armoured soldiers undergo specialized training
Armoured soldiers who started performing their military service in September 2022 are currently doing specialized training at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac.
The soldiers are training as gunners and drivers of M-84 tanks and IFV M80A at the Centre’s training areas and weapons ranges.In accordance with the training programme, the soldiers are acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for an efficient use and maintenance of armoured fighting vehicles, their weapons and devices. They are using trainers which allow them to prepare for carrying out fire and tactical missions in all conditions using the minimum of material resources.
In the next period, soldiers will do firing practices and perform live firings using the branch-specific weapons. They will also practice operating combat vehicles in the field in order to fully prepare for the tank and IFV duties. At the end of this training period, the soldiers’ specialized skills will be assessed. Next, they will undergo collective training and be actively involved in the life and work of SAF units until the end of their military service.
