Minister Vučević and General Mojsilović visit 3rd Army Brigade units in Kuršumlija



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Third Army Brigade units in Kuršumlija today. After observing the training and talking to the officers and soldiers, Minister Vučević said that Serbia was peaceful and safe as long as it had such strong armed forces ready to carry out any task assigned to them by the Supreme Commander.
 
- Together with the Chief of the General Staff, General Mojsilović and other senior officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, I am paying a visit to the Kuršumlija garrison and inspecting the state of affairs in the units deployed here, in the heroic Toplica, the morale of our soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers, the equipment and weapons - Minister Vučević said.
 
According to him, this was an opportunity to exchange opinions in a face-to-face conversation regarding the plans for the coming period, in accordance with the orders from the state leadership.
 
- I can send a clear message from here, too, that the Serbian Armed Forces are ready to carry out every task assigned to them by their country, by the President of the Republic as the supreme commander, protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country - said Vučević and underlined that the armed forces were the most powerful protector and guardian of freedom of all the citizens of Serbia.

- Serbia is peaceful, Serbia is safe as long as it has such strong armed forces – said the Minister of Defence.

The Third Army Brigade Commander, Colonel Dragan Antić, briefed the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the General Staff on the situation in the area of ​​responsibility of that brigade and the state of affairs in the unit. The next thing demonstrated by the Third Army Brigade units in the "Toplički Ustanak" barracks in Kuršumlija were the actions and procedures carried out by the Military Police at the checkpoint, as well as the segments of training undergone by an infantry company using the "Lazar 3" vehicles and a reinforced mechanized company using the BVP-M80 combat vehicles and M-84 tanks.
 
Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović and the Chief of the Operations Department, General Staff, Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović were also in attendance today.
