Minister Stefanović attends ceremony marking Ministry of Interior Day and Police Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, have attended today the ceremony marking the Ministry of the Interior Day and the Police Day in Belgrade's "Štark Arena".
At today’s ceremony, 1.516 people who have taken up employment at the Ministry over the past year have taken the oath of office, and members of the Ministry of the Interior have also been awarded medals for merit and outstanding service.
On that occasion, Minister of the Interior, Aleksandar Vulin, awarded medals for courage to members of the Ministry of the Interior and congratulated them on taking the oath of office.
A series of events marks the Ministry of the Interior Day and the Police Day. In addition to the traditional parade performed by the police orchestra, Police Brigade’s Cavalry Company, general competence police, traffic police, gendarmerie and firefighters along Knez Mihajlova Street, citizens have also had the opportunity to see the display of police weapons and equipment and the demonstration of police units’ skills in the Kalemegdan park.
