4th Army Brigade conducts command and staff exercise
The 4th Army Brigade Command and some of its units have conducted Command and Staff Exercise “Spring 22” on multiple locations in Vranje and its vicinity practicing operational planning and execution.
The aim of the exercise was to improve the Command’s skills in operational planning, application of standard operating procedures and commanding the forces during an operation.For several days, members of the unit practiced completing specific scenario-based tasks, from taking up the command post in a rapid and organized manner following an alert signal, to the engagement of the Command and its directly subordinate units in line with their functional responsibilities, to carrying out the decisions made.
The exercise was a way to check and improve the competences of some of the 4th Army Brigade units for performing combat missions. This was another opportunity for its professional members to show that they were highly trained, professional and motivated. Command and staff exercises are an important form of practical training of SAF unit commands. They aim to improve the skills required for proper and timely use of forces in operations in all conditions. They are carried out on a regular basis according to the training plans in order to maintain a high-level combat readiness.
