Military working dogs win awards

The working dogs of the Serbian Armed Forces Dog Training Centre have won seven awards at the 30th International Dog Show - “CACIB Niš 2022” and at the 18th “Kalča Cup”, held in Niš.
Six hundred dogs from the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro competed in ten categories at these prestigious international events.

On this occasion, the Serbian Armed Forces’ working dogs have won seven trophies in the individual Sarplaninac competition and the "Colonel Dr. Slobodan Teodosić" Plaque, which is awarded, as of this year, to the best pair of Sarplaninac dogs, in honour of the former commander of the Dog Training Centre and founder of the Niš Kennel Club.
The Dog Training Centre is responsible for dog training, health care and breeding, and for the veterinary staff training and education. The Centre’s excellent results and awards won at international competitions speak of the quality of work in this Training Command unit.
