Youngest pilots retrain to fly Eagle aircraft

The youngest Serbian Armed Forces pilots are currently undergoing intensive Eagle fighter-bomber flight training at the "Morava" Airfield in Lađevci.
This is a retraining program attended by second lieutenants who were assigned to the 98th Air Brigade’s 241st Fighter-Bomber Squadron after graduating from the Military Academy. They already learnt how to pilot the "Lasta" and "Supergaleb" G-4 aircraft during their undergraduate studies.

Young pilots underwent ground training which included technical and flight simulator training. They spent the last few weeks completing the 1st phase of flight-retraining to master basic, aerobatic and navigation flights, successfully performing acceptance flying and solo flights. In the period to come, they will go through instrument and night flight training, as well as combat and formation flight training in order to fully master flying this type of aircraft in combat.
Once the second lieutenants complete their training, the 241st Fighter-Bomber Squadron will get another class of competent "Eagle" fighter-bomber pilots, which will increase the overall capabilities of this unit whose role is to provide air support to Army units.
