Minister Stefanović Met Ambassador MаcLeod
Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD met Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sian Christina MacLeod.
Minister Stefanović underlined the significance of the upcoming official return visit to London at the invitation of British Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace, which is yet another opportunity for the talks at strategic level on the issues of common interest.
Also, the minister of defence expressed his gratitude for the donations provided by the British side to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, and for the education of members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces in military educational establishments of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Stefanović particularly singled out the importance of joint engagement in the multinational operation UNFICYP in Cyprus, which represents the crown of our hitherto military cooperation and a motive for the further enhancement of the overall relations between the two countries.
Ambassador MacLeod emphasised the importance of the official visit by Minister Stefanović to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. She highlighted the interest of the British side in further military-to-military cooperation carried out through the execution of military exercises, joint participation in multinational operations and in the field of military medical cooperation.
