Assistant Minister Tomašević: Blatant lies of a tycoon in a panic
Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Katarina Tomašević’s statement:
"Exposed while spreading untruths, the "Objektiv" daily continued to deliberately deceive its readers today, using manipulation to try and cover up that everything they had claimed about the construction of the hangar at the "Morava" airport was nothing but a blatant lie.
Let me remind you, the creators of this campaign against the Ministry of Defence headed by Minister Nebojša Stefanović, first claimed that we had signed a confidential contract with "Energoprojekt" company, thus stealing 800,000 euros of citizens' money, and when it turned out that no contract had been signed, and that this company was not involved in the construction of the hangar, they did not even blink. In the characteristic Dragan Đilas style and obviously following his example, they continued to lie. The nonsense that invitations for subcontractors to tender were sent yesterday is another untruth spread by this paper whose real owners got entangled in their own lies.
The facts show that the Military Construction Institution "Belgrade", as the contractor, has carried out all construction works on the hangar so far using its own capacities, without hiring subcontractors. This paper’s manipulation aimed at damaging our institution’s reputation is not in the interest of the citizens, but in the interest of a tycoon who is in a panic because his accounts have been blocked and because he is unable to hide his connections with Veljko Belivuk's criminal group. In addition to him, it will be interesting to see who Toni Apostolović is and what his role is in this matter, but more about that soon."
